Why Take Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Training?

Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia organizations continue to gather increasingly large volumes of data in various formats and applications. Data analysts with the knowledge and skills to gather, manipulate and present this business intelligence in a meaningful way are very much in demand.

Power BI is part of the Microsoft Power Platform and was developed by Microsoft to enable interactive data visualization, primarily for business intelligence purposes.

Power BI is a suite of apps, software, and connectors used to manipulate unrelated data sources into cohesive, visual, and interactive insights. By uploading data into the Power BI tools directly from databases, webpages, or structured files such as spreadsheets, CSV, XML, and JSON, data analysts can quickly help drive critical business decisions.

TrainACE's Power BI training course will teach data analysts how to use its suite of tools to deliver actionable insights from disparate data sources. Data analysts will learn to use Power BI to communicate with stakeholders, identify business requirements, clean data, and build data models.

On successful completion of the course, you will understand how to:

    • Ingest, clean, and transform data
    • Model data for performance and scalability
    • Design and create reports for data analysis
    • Apply and perform advanced report analytics
    • Manage and share report assets

What you need to know before taking Microsoft Power BI training

There are no specific prerequisites for this class, but we recommend that candidates for Microsoft Power BI have some experience working with data in the cloud.

More specifically, data analysts with an understanding of core data concepts, working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases in the cloud, and experience working with data analysis and visualization will benefit from this class.

    Exam and Certification Requirements:

The PL-300 Microsoft Power BI exam covers four skill areas. Data preparation comprises 15-20 percent of the exam, modeling data thirty to thirty-five percent, data visualization, and analysis 25-20 percent, and asset deployment and maintenance 20-25 percent.

The passing score for this Power BI exam is 70% or 700 out of 1,000 points. Note that the questions in this exam are weighted according to their difficulty, so the number of questions you answer correctly may not equate to a pass. The exams were created by a group of subject matter experts who considered the difficulty of the questions being asked and how the question demonstrates knowledge and skill in a particular topic area.
