Instructor James Younger
James Younger has over 23 years of Information Technology experience with the last 13 years focusing on security. James is a U.S. Navy Veteran with prior IT experience at the Department of Agriculture, U.S. Postal Service and Suntrust Bank, N.A.
The scope of James’ knowledge is wide from his experience working in the DOD as well as the public and private sectors. In his many years of experience he has performed in a variety of areas of IT including database administration, server operations, network operations, and incident handling. He has obtained several professional certifications to enhance his experience, including: CISSP, CEH, PMP, MCSE, CCNA, Security+, Network+, CHFI, CEI and others. Other areas of expertise for James include penetration testing, incident response, exploitation, wireless security, exploit development, forensics and more.
James is currently the Lead Instructor at the Academy of Computer Education in Greenbelt, Maryland and Ashburn, Virginia. Where he teaches a variety of courses. He is frequently requested to travel across the country to provide security training. His training is in “high demand” as many clients request additional and more advanced classes with James as the instructor.
James’s approach to security and other classes is always lead with a hands-on first mentality and his deep experience allows him to share real-life scenarios with the class as he puts them on display.
