About Our Award Winning CEH Training
Delivery Style: 75% Hands-On, 25% Lecture
TrainACE is the most highly awarded CEH training vendor in the world as exemplified by our two ATC of the Year Awards and 2 Circle of Excellence Awards. Our lead instructor was also awarded the Circle of Excellence for Instructors in 2009 and in 2010, he won the Instructor of the Year Award. We run CEH training classes at our two locations in the Baltimore - Washington area as well as in corporate and agency locations across the country. We also offer Instructor-Led Live Online classes and Self-Paced Pre-Recorded courses. Unlike many of our competitors, this is not a powerpoint class. Our experienced, SME instructors teach the CEH attendees how to hack, by doing and showing. THIS IS A VERY FUN CLASS both in person or live online!
Arguably the hottest certification in IT security, the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is the newest certification under the DoD 8570 Directive. Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Version 7 (soon to be Version 8 / v8, see explanation below) is a very hands-on five day bootcamp course that explores the tactics commonly used to penetrate a network (aka penetration testing). The courseware maps to EC-Council’s CEH Certification Exam 312-50 and ECO-350 (this is the v7 exam, for now), and includes the official EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker Textbook Volumes 1 & 2, an accompanying Lab Manual, a Linux OS CD, and 2 CD’s containing over 300 of the latest hacking tools and exploits.
This CEH Certification will fortify the application knowledge of security officers, auditors, security professionals, site administrators, and anyone who is concerned about the integrity of the network infrastructure. CEH candidates will be immersed into an interactive network hacking environment where they will be shown how to scan, test, hack and secure their own systems. Candidates will begin by understanding how perimeter defenses work and then be lead into scanning and attacking their own networks. CEH candidates then learn how intruders escalate privileges and what steps can be taken to secure a system. Candidates will also learn about Intrusion Detection, Policy Creation, Social Engineering, DDoS Attacks, Buffer Overflows and Virus Creation. Learn the art of penetration testing (pen testing) in order to create a network intrusion vulnerability prevention strategy.
EXPLANATION: CEH v8 Certification vs. v7 Certification
The EC-Council has annonced the CEH Version 8 (aka v8) certification will be released soon. However, the v7 certification was released somewhat recently. Here is the explanation. EC-Council has recently achieved ANSI accreditation for the CEH. The ANSI accreditation required a few minor procedural changes on the exam delivery. The changes did not affect the content of the certification. Therefore, the CEH v8 is the name of the test, but the courseware is the same. CEHv8 will be out in 2013.
